Kaitlin Zaki

Kaitlin Zaki-Metias, MD PGY-5

Chief Resident

Dr. Zaki-Metias was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She completed her undergraduate degree in Genetics at the University of Manitoba and earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, exploring local restaurants, playing the piano, and spending time with her family and her dog. Kaitlin will be pursuing subspecialty training in Breast and Abdominal Imaging at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada.

Alex Tsibuski

Alex Tsibulski, MD PGY-5

Dr. Tsibulski is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Manitoba and earned his medical degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences. In his free time, Alex enjoys traveling, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Alex will be pursuing fellowship training in Breast and Abdominal Imaging at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada.

Mehrvaan Kaur

Mehrvaan Kaur, MD PGY-5

Dr. Kaur is from Delhi, India. She completed her medical degree at Dayanand Medical College. Outside of work, she loves to dance, attend the theater, and travel. Mehrvaan will be completing fellowship training in Emergency Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA

Nicholas Mills, MD

Nicholas Mills, MD PGY-4

Dr. Mills is originally from rural Middletown, California. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at The Master's University in Santa Clarita, California, and his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences. In his free time, Dr. Mills loves being outdoors, devouring his wife's best baking recipe, playing with his children, being involved at his church, and learning new songs on the guitar. Nick intends on pursuing fellowship training in Neuroradiology.

Serguei Medvedev, MD

Serguei Medvedev, MD PGY-4

Dr. Medvedev was raised in Toronto, Canada. He attended Ryerson University from where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados. In his spare time, he likes to exercise and go for hikes. Serguei enjoys traveling and cooking foods from various ethnicities. Following his training, he plans to pursue fellowship training in Body/Abdominal Imaging.

Rajbir Pannu, MD

Rajbir Pannu, MD PGY-4

Dr. Pannu was born in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. He spent his early years living on a blueberry farm in the neighboring city of Langley. He received his medical degree from St. Martinus University. Rajbir intends to pursue fellowship training in Body/Abdominal Imaging. During his spare time, Dr. Pannu enjoys following advancements in agriculture, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family.

Huijuan Wang, MD

Huijuan Wang, MD PGY-4

Dr. Huijuan Wang was born and raised in Beijing, China. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biotechnology in University of Science and Technology Beijing and earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. She is pursuing fellowship training in Breast and Body Imaging. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, nature, spending time with family and friends, and teaching her purr babies fun tricks.

Adam Bruderick, DO

Adam Bruderick, DO PGY-3

ESIR Resident

Dr. Bruderick was born and raised in Clarkston, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at Grand Valley State University. He received his Master's in Physiology at the University of Michigan. He earned his medical degree at Campbell University in North Carolina. Outside the hospital, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and watching sports. He is currently interested in pursuing fellowship in either Interventional Radiology or Body Imaging.

Alexander Satei, MBBS

Alexander Satei, MD PGY-3

Dr. Satei was born in Windsor, Canada and raised in Toronto. He received his medical degree from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. In his free time, Alex enjoys playing chess, watching Spaghetti Westerns, taking care of his aquarium, and playing with his Yorkie. He will be pursuing a fellowship in Breast and Women's Imaging.

Tima Tawil, MD

Tima Tawil, MD PGY-3

Dr. Tawil was born in New Jersey and raised in Damascus, Syria. She received her undergraduate degree from the American University of Beirut and completed her medical degree at St. George's University of London Medical School. Outside of work. Tima loves baking and cake decorating, photography, interior design, traveling, and exploring restaurants with family and friends. She is deciding between lnterventional Radiology and Women's Imaging for fellowship.

Derrick Barr, DO

Derrick Barr, DO PGY-2

Dr. Barr was born in Ames, Iowa and raised in Minnesota. He received a biochemistry degree at the University of St. Thomas and his medical degree from Midwestern University CCOM. Derrick is interested in pursuing lnterventional Radiology. His interests outside of the hospital are outdoor activities, home improvement projects, knife-making, and cooking.

Hailey Carruthers, MD

Hailey Carruthers, MD PGY-2

Dr. Carruthers is from Toronto, Canada, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Anthropology at York University. She then went on to earn her medical degree at St. George's University in Grenada. Outside of the reading room, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, travelling and adventure, exercise and watching movies. Following her residency training, Hailey intends to pursue a fellowship in lnterventional Radiology.

Hani lssawi, MD

Hani lssawi, MD PGY-2

Dr. lssawi is from Flint, Michigan. He pursued his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Michigan-Flint, a one-year chaplaincy program in Dallas, Texas at Qalam Institute, and graduated from medical school at Windsor University School of Medicine. Hani is exploring different subspecialties of radiology and will ultimately pursue a fellowship after residency. In his free time, he enjoys whipping up some good food in the kitchen and barbecuing, as well as spending time with his family, watching football, and working out.

Odai El-Samawi, MD

Odai El-Samawi, MD PGY-1

Transitional Year at THO-WSU – Categorical Diagnostic Radiology

Dr. El-Samawi was raised in Troy, Michigan. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and pursued a Master of Science in IT Management at Oakland University. After deciding to switch careers, he left corporate management and went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. In his spare time Odai enjoys partaking in mixed martial arts, traveling, hiking, and indulging in ethnic cuisines. Following residency, Odai plans to pursue fellowship training in one of the many subspecialties radiology has to offer.

Bilal Turfe, MD

Dr. Turfe is from West Bloomfield, Michigan where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Michigan. He went on and earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. In his spare time, Bilal enjoys spending time with family, gardening, playing sports, watching shows, and traveling. Bilal is exploring the different subspecialties of radiology and will ultimately pursue a fellowship after residency.

Tess Vindischman, DO

Tess Vindischman, DO PGY-1

Transitional Year at THO-WSU – Categorical Diagnostic Radiology

Dr. Vindischman is a life-long Michigander from Ortonville. She completed all of her education in-state, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physiology at Michigan State, Master’s in Medical Sciences at Wayne State, and medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is currently interested in Women's Imaging. In her free time, she continues to pursue her equestrian goals, riding and training at her family's local horse farm. She also enjoys spending quality time cooking with her husband and adventuring with their two dogs.
