About the Joint Venture

Trinity Health Michigan and University of Michigan Health came together as a joint venture in 2018. These two award-winning health systems jointly own Chelsea Hospital bringing new services to Chelsea, while sharing resources, best practices and more to drive innovation and a higher level of care. About Chelsea Hospital

Chelsea Hospital is a 133-bed, not-for-profit hospital established in 1970 leading the way in patient safety and satisfaction. Located in Chelsea, Michigan, Chelsea Hospital is a joint venture between Trinity Health Michigan and University of Michigan Health. These two award-winning health systems bring new services to Chelsea, while sharing resources, best practices and more to drive innovation and a higher level of care. Chelsea Hospital is nationally recognized for both quality of care and patient satisfaction by national ranking organization Press Ganey, and is one of only 19 hospitals nationwide with the distinction of having a double, five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. It is accredited by the Joint Commission and attracts more than 500 physicians with leading edge technology and compassionate care. As a not-for-profit hospital, Chelsea Hospital reinvests its profits into the community through programs to serve the poor and uninsured, manage chronic conditions like diabetes, provide health education, and outreach to the elderly.

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is a 537 –bed teaching hospital located on the 340 acre campus. Recognized by IBM Watson as a Top 100 Hospital and #1 Teaching Hospital, Trinity Health Ann Arbor has been a leading health care provider for more than 100 years. Trinity Health Grand Haven, formerly North Ottawa Community Hospital, is an 81-bed acute care hospital located in Grand Haven, Michigan, serving northwest Ottawa County and the surrounding communities in southern Muskegon County. We provide compassionate care, award-winning expertise, and the latest technology, all in an inclusive setting that honors the sacredness and dignity of every person.

Trinity Health Grand Rapids delivers a health care experience that offers both compassionate care and medical expertise. Trinity Health Livingston is Livingston County’s only full-service hospital. The 66-bed hospital serves community health needs with highly skilled and compassionate medical staff utilizing the latest technology. Trinity Health Livingston is dedicated to providing our residents with the highest quality of care and safety. As part of Trinity Health Michigan, patients also have the benefit of quick access to Trinity Health Ann Arbor when needed.

Trinity Health Livonia provides comprehensive and compassionate care to the Wayne County community. The facility features a 24-hour emergency department, Level II Trauma Center, inpatient and outpatient surgery, general medicine, imaging services, physical medicine and rehabilitation services, intensive care unit, cancer care, cardiovascular care, senior services and birthing and women’s services.

The 304-bed community hospital was founded and opened by the Felician Sisters in 1959.

Trinity Health Oakland Hospital is a 497-bed community teaching hospital, Level II Trauma Center and longtime leader in health care in Oakland County. Trinity Health Oakland provides comprehensive care including cardiovascular, stroke, orthopedics, obstetrics, gynecology and cancer care.

Building on our foundation as a world-class hospital, Trinity Health Oakland has invested in the future of our campus and is committed to bringing the best care to community members where they live and work. The hospital campus features a surgical pavilion, south patient tower with 204 private rooms and recently renovated mother baby unit. We continue to expand services available on campus and at convenient locations across Oakland County, including lab, imaging and urgent care services in addition to primary and specialty care.
