Serving Michigan

Medical/PA/NP Student Programs

Trinity Health Michigan Medical Education Program provides the best educational teaching for medical and PA students. The focus of instruction is always on student learning and the environment is inviting and pressure-free.

The teaching faculty is enthusiastic and motivated by intrinsic rather than extrinsic goals. Each rotation has a clerkship director who serves as an advisor for the medical/PA students.

From the beginning, medical and PA students are a part of the Trinity Health team. Students are given the independence and responsibly to carry their own patients, enter orders, write H&Ps, and present differential diagnoses. Students receive computer training involving online order entry, which gives them the ability to view test/lab results in order to perform procedures and interact with patients.

Students attend all major meetings and hospital wide conferences such as Grand Rounds, Basic Science Lectures, Death & Complication Conferences, Tumor Boards, etc.

Students have access to our medical library 24-hours a day. Upon request, we also offer our students the opportunity to participate and/or present research projects, with one-on-one mentoring with our faculty and staff. Medical students and PA students from AOA and LCME accredited schools are welcome to apply for elective rotations at Trinity Health Ann Arbor and Livingston Hospital. To apply for an elective rotation, please download and complete the appropriate application.

Applicants are not eligible to practice at Trinity Health until the onboarding process is completed.

Medical student applications may be emailed to Erin Madden at erin.madden@trinity-health.org. Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner student applications may be emailed to Diane Jones at diane.jones@trinity-health.org.
