Family Medicine Residency at Trinity Health Livingston

Trinity Health Livingston Family Medicine Residency is fully accredited by the ACGME for 21 positions and provides the designation of Osteopathic Recognition to eligible residents within the program. Trinity Health Livingston Hospital is a progressive, 66-bed community hospital with an active emergency department, an adult medicine inpatient service and critical care unit, and general and orthopedic surgery services. The hospital currently located in Howell, Michigan, will be moving to the Brighton campus in 2026.

The Family Medicine Residency Program and primary continuity clinic are based at Trinity Health Brighton, a modern 96,000 square foot multi-faceted outpatient facility which includes a novel 24-bed short stay center, outpatient surgery, an active emergency department, a state-of-the-art Cancer Center, lab & radiology services, non-invasive vascular testing, and a number of specialty clinics. It is the future site of the Livingston Hospital with construction underway.

Livingston County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Michigan. Centrally located between Lansing, Ann Arbor, and Detroit, Livingston County is a suburban/rural community that offers access to professional & collegiate sporting events, performing artists, great restaurants, and theatre groups. The county boasts of 20,000 acres of parks, more than 50 lakes, biking paths, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and riding stables.

Our residency offers the best of both worlds for training, a small community hospital, and a larger academic center. Our innovative 2-week mini-block curriculum and our cohesive team-based and family-friendly atmosphere are key to learning.
