This important project is an investment of approximately $238 million into Livingston County to elevate the patient experience, clinical excellence and health and well-being of our community.

As a non-profit health system, we are relying on our community to join us with philanthropic support for the Forging our Future Campaign. Frequently Asked Questions

We anticipate opening the new hospital in early 2026.

Trinity Health is committed to Livingston County. We have been diligently working on plans for a new hospital in the county for quite some time. In late 2022, we received final approvals for the hospital plans and were excited to begin construction.

The hospital project is estimated to cost $238 million.

We are currently exploring options for the building and property on Byron Road. Trinity Health is committed to ensuring the site is utilized and is not abandoned.

We are pleased to be able to offer the same services and quality of care our community has come to know. In addition, we will have space and technology to enhance our services.

The new Livingston hospital will not include a birthing center. After extensive due diligence, we made the decision not to include a birthing center and overall birthing rates are on a decline. While the hospital will not have a birthing center, all other women’s health and ob/gyn care can be received in the county. Trinity Health and Trinity Health IHA Medical Group have robust women’s health services.
