SJMPH Announces New Board of Trustees Appointments

ST. JOSEPH MERCY HOSPITAL ANNOUNCES
BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPOINTMENTS
Port Huron, MI…St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron (SJMPH) is pleased to announce that Dan DeGrow, of Burtchville Township; and Thomas Lees, OD, FAAO, of Fort Gratiot Township, have accepted positions on the Board of Trustees of St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron.
Dan DeGrow serves as the Superintendent of Schools with the St. Clair County Regional Education Service Agency (RESA). He is a former state senator and previously practiced law in Port Huron. DeGrow has an extensive background in service to the local community including currently serving at St. Joseph Mercy’s Strategic Planning Committee.
"I am pleased to welcome Dan as a member of the St. Joseph Mercy Board of Trustees," comments Jeff Smith, Chair of the Board. "I am looking forward to the balance he will bring to board discussions from the perspective of the county and public education."
Thomas Lees is an optometrist who owns Family Eye Care and Contact Lens Center in Fort Gratiot. Dr. Lees is also a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
"As a lifelong resident of St. Clair County and a local businessman for more than 25 years, Dr. Lees has a unique combination as a community resident and medical professional which will be valuable to our board," continues Smith. "In addition to his talents, he is following in the footsteps of his father who also served on the St. Joseph Mercy Board of Trustees, and currently serves on the St. Joseph Mercy Finance Committee. It is a pleasure to welcome him to this leadership position."
