PORT HURON NORTHERN SOCCER TEAM BENEFITS MERCY PINK RIBBON FUND
Port Huron, MI... As the Port Huron Northern Soccer Team took on cross-town rivals Port Huron High in mid-October, the team also took on another task, raising funds to support the Mercy Pink Ribbon Fund during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In addition to selling pink ribbons at the rivalry game, the team coordinated a bottle/can drive fundraiser. The Mercy Pink Ribbon Fund, which originated at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital more than 15 years ago, is designated for women in need of advanced breast cancer diagnosis, who have no insurance or financial resources to pay for their care.
