Port Huron, MI…It is estimated that approximately 45 percent of the American population seeks medical intervention for the treatment of persistent pain at some point in their lives. Chronic pain can have an impact on quality of life, contributing to: anxiety, depression, increased stress, financial hardship and lack of sleep. To help community residents better understand chronic pain and the treatment options available, St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron will host a special program, titled: “Break the Grip of Pain and Re-Discover Life.”
This free program will be held Tuesday, February 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., in the Baggot Street Café (cafeteria), St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, located at 2601 Electric Avenue, in Port Huron. The program will be presented by Board Certified and Pain Management Fellowship-Trained specialists Sabbir Ahmed, MD; and Wasif Hussain, MD, of the Mercy Pain Management Clinic. Neil Pasia, DO, of Orthopedic Associates, PC, will also be on hand to answer questions related to back surgery and back pain. The program includes free refreshments.
If painful burning, tingling, or numbness in the back and legs stops you from enjoying everyday activities; and medications and injections no longer work or cause unwanted side effects, this free educational program is for you.
