Free Mammograms
St. Joseph Mercy Oakland will offer free mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women on eight dates in 2013.
A limited number of openings will be available each date for women who meet the following criteria:
- Reside in Oakland County
- Have no health insurance or are underinsured
- Need a mammogram
- Are age 40 or older or have a palpable mass (one that can be felt)
Saturday clinics will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the following dates for those without a physician’s order:
Jan. 26
April 13
July 13
Nov. 16
Wednesday clinics will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. the following dates for those with a physician’s order:
Feb. 13
May 15
Aug. 28
Oct. 23
Call 800-372-6094 to pre-register for one of the clinics. Pre-registration is required and is accepted on a first call, first served basis starting eight weeks prior to each clinic.
All clinics are held in the Alice Gustafson Center on the hospital campus, 44405 Woodward Ave., Pontiac.
The clinics are supported, in part, by the Pink Ribbon Trailblazers, a grassroots community group that funds mammograms for uninsured and underserved women in Oakland County.
