Places Are Still Available
For Annual Women’s Night Out Health Education Event
Evening to Include Workshops on Women’s Health Concerns, Dinner and Fashion Show
Pontiac, Mich.—St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) announces it still has a limited number of places available for its annual Women’s Night Out health education event, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the Auburn Hills Marriott-Pontiac at Centerpoint, 3600 Centerpoint Parkway, Pontiac.
SJMO has been recognized by a national independent health care ratings organization as among the top five percent of U.S. hospitals for women’s health excellence.
Theme for the evening is “For every woman. For every stage. For life.” The event will include an overview of women’s health and wellness services offered at SJMO to help women on their journey to improve their health and well-being. SJMO physicians will lead breakout sessions on a variety of topics related to women’s health. Attendees will have an opportunity to choose two breakout sessions from the list below:
- Mohammed-Azhar Ali, MD: “Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation”
- Michael Mersol-Barg, MD: “Fertility Preservation for Women: New Technology”
- SJMO Director of Breast Services Amy Kirby, MD: “Breast Health: What Every Woman Needs to Know”
- Geetha Nair, MD: “Pediatric Obesity and Self-Image”
- Sepideh Khalilian, MD: “Osteoporosis: Are Your Bones at Risk?”
- Patricia Kondratenko, DO: “Menopause: Surviving Personal Summers”
Media personality Lila Lazarus will emcee a fashion show supported in part by Great Lakes Crossing Outlets. Participating stores include: NYDJ, Talbots Outlet, Saks Fifth Avenue Off Fifth, Last Call by Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor Outlet Store, DKNY, Chico’s Outlet, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, Banana Republic, Group USA-The Clothing Co. and Macy’s.
Highlights of Women’s Night Out include light dinner, cash bar and dessert; health screenings, the fashion show and gift drawings.
The public is welcome. Cost of the evening is $25 per person.
