Let's Talk About Stress Free Holidays 11/04/2011 On Wednesday, November 16, at 6 p.m., Cynthia Rochon RN, PMHN, MBA, Behavioral Medicine, St. Mary Mercy Hospital will be speaking at a seminar called “Let’s Talk About Stress Free Holidays” The seminar will be held at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in the Auditorium.
Holidays can be a very busy and stressful time of year. When stress builds up, it causes the release of “fight or flight” hormones. These hormones then cause an increase in blood glucose. Cynthia will discuss ways to decrease holiday stress and ways to increase awareness and skills for coping with perceived stressors around the holidays. Hear tips to enjoy them more with the least amount of stress. Registration begins at 6 p.m. with some light easy-to-make holiday treats. The presentation is at 7 p.m.
