Behavioral Health Physician Bios

Etienne Dehoorne, MD

Dr. Dehoorne is board certified in General Psychiatry.  He received his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University in 1989. He completed his internship and residency in psychiatry at the University of Michigan. Dr. Dehoorne is also certified in Electroconvulsive Therapy. He has been on staff at Chelsea Community Hospital since 1993 and is currently the Medical Director for Psychiatry Services. As Psychiatry Service chief, he serves on St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea's medical executive committee. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Association for Convulsive Therapy, and American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry.  Dr. Dehoorne treats patients on the Inpatient unit and in the Chelsea Outpatient Behavioral Health Services Clinic.

David M. DeVellis, MD

Dr. DeVellis received his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY in 1998.  He briefly trained in internal medicine before initiating a career in medical editing and communications. He completed his residency at the University of Vermont, Burlington, VT in 2014.  Dr. DeVellis is board eligible in General Adult Psychiatry.  He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.  He joined the medical staff at St Joseph Mercy Chelsea in July of 2014 and sees patients on the inpatient behavioral health unit.

Natalia Galkine, MD

Dr. Galkine is board certified in General Psychiatry. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Petersburg State Pediatric-Medical Academy, Russia in 1993. She completed her internship in pediatrics at St. Petersburg State Pediatric-Medical Academy as well as a residency in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. After moving to Canada, Dr. Galkine completed another residency in general psychiatry at Henry Ford Health System. Dr. Galkine is also certified in Electroconvulsive Therapy. She has been working at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea since 2009 primarily on the inpatient unit. She also sees patients in the Chelsea Outpatient Behavorial Health Services clinic.

Joseph Harvey, MD

Dr. Harvey is board certified in General Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1976. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Michigan. He also completed a fellowship in Child Psychiatry at the University of Michigan and has been a clinical instructor there from 1981-present. He has been a member of the staff at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea since 1991. He sees child and adolescent patients in the Chelsea Outpatient Behavioral Health Services clinic. He is a member of the Michigan State Medical Society and the Washtenaw County Medical Society.

Frank W. Pavlovcic III, DO

Dr. Pavlovcic is board certified in General Psychiatry. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001.  He completed his internship in family medicine and psychiatry through the National Capital Consortium and his residency in psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Prior to joining the staff at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea, Dr. Pavlovcic worked for the Veteran’s Health Administration in Fairbanks, Alaska. He is currently the attending psychiatrist serving our adult patients as well as our patients in the Older Adult Recovery Center. Dr. Pavlovcic sees patients in both the Chelsea and Dexter Outpatient Clinic locations.  He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, and American Osteopathic Association.

Stacey Herbster, MD

Dr. Herbster is board certified in General Psychiatry. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University Of South Dakota School Of Medicine in 1994.  She completed her internship and residency in general psychiatry at the University Of South Dakota School Of Medicine. Dr. Herbster also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University of South Dakota School of Medicine. Prior to joining the staff at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea, Dr. Herbster worked for the University of Michigan Psychiatric Emergency Services Department as a staff psychiatrist. Additionally, she was a Clinical Instructor for the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan.  She is currently an attending psychiatrist on our inpatient psychiatric unit and in the Chelsea Outpatient Behavioral Health Services Clinic serving our adult patients ages 18 and older. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Michigan Psychiatric Association.

Davita Burkhead-Weiner, MD

Dr. Burkhead-Weiner is board certified in General Psychiatry and is board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2009. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Michigan in 2012. She also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Michigan. Dr. Burkhead-Weiner recently joined the staff at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea and is currently an attending psychiatrist serving our child and adolescent patients in both our Chelsea and Dexter Outpatient Clinic locations. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association as well as the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
