People with pre-diabetes and diabetes can have an impact on their health by understanding how to manage this disease. Diabetes is a lifelong condition, but it is controllable. Self-care is the most important factor in reducing health problems related to diabetes. You can learn how to manage and control this disease by using the information taught in our individual or group classes.

Diabetes Education is reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid and most other private insurance plans. If you have an HMO, you may be required to obtain prior authorization. If you have previously attended Diabetes Education classes, but need a refresher, Medicare covers a 2 hour annual education review with either/both the nurse and the dietician.
