SJMHS Patient Portal offers patients personalized and secure online access to portions of their medical records. It enables you to securely view information about your health. With SJMHS Patient Portal, you can view:
- Admit and discharge date
- Reason for hospitalization
- Basic lab results
- Physician Care team
- Vital signs at discharge
- Care plan with goals and instructions
- Discharge information and instructions
During registration at the hospital, you’ll be asked if you’d like to sign up for SJMHS Patient Portal. If you choose to sign up, you’ll just need to provide an e-mail address where we can send your invitation to join SJMHS Patient Portal.
After you click on the link provided in the e-mail, you’ll be asked to confirm your identity. The step-by-step process will ask you to provide your date of birth and the answer to the security question you provided at the time of registration.

Your test results will be viewable in the patient portal immediately after being entered into your health record. Tests of a very sensitive nature, like pregnancy, HIV, STD and pathology, are not released to SJMHS Patient Portal.
There are laws that protect this patient population and to uphold those laws Cerner chose to restrict the access to the Portal.

At this time, radiology results are not going to be available on the SJMHS Patient Portal.
Click the "Forgot Password" link on the sign-in page to reset your password online. You can also call 1-800-324-8163 to request a new, secure password.
To protect your privacy and the security of your information, you will be automatically logged out of the SJMHS Patient Portal if your keyboard remains idle for 20 minutes or more. We recommend that you log out of your SJMHS Patient Portal session if you need to leave your computer for even a short period of time.

No. SJMHS Patient Portal and the patient portal systems used by some doctors are separate and distinct systems that do not talk to one another. SJMHS Patient Portal can only assist you with health information related to your care at any of our Saint Joseph Mercy Health System facilities.
Yes you can, but you will need to use the same email and password to login.
We take great care to ensure your health information is kept private and secure. Access to information is controlled through a secure invitation process, personal IDs and passwords. Each person controls his or her own password, and the account cannot be accessed without that password. Furthermore, the SJMHS Patient Portal uses the latest 128-bit SSL encryption technology with no caching to automatically encrypt your session with the SJMHS Patient Portal.
The SJMHS Patient Portal is owned and operated by Saint Joseph Mercy Health System and Cerner Corporation. It is fully compliant with federal and state laws pertaining to your privacy. Your name and e-mail address will be treated with the same care and privacy given your health records, and will never be sold or leased by SJMHS Patient Portal.
