Michigan Heart Opens Practice in Milan 08/27/2012 Five new cardiologists to serve the Milan community
Saint Joseph Mercy Health System is pleased to announce the opening of a Michigan Heart office in Milan. Effective Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, Michigan Heart Milan will begin seeing patients in the Milan Medical Center, located at 870 Arkona Road.
The five doctors practicing out of the Michigan Heart Milan office – Dr. G. Alfred Dodds, Dr. Steven Girard, Dr. Bradley Hubbard, Dr. Frank Smith and Dr. James Wilks – are now accepting appointments at 734-712-8000.
“We are very pleased to open this practice in Milan,” states Dr. Dodds. “We have been serving patients from the Milan area for many years at other Michigan Heart facilities, and we are excited that we can now bring this care close to home for the patients we serve.”
Michigan Heart Milan will open in the former IHA Cardiology Consultants office, as Dr. Barbara Kong and Dr. Stephen Rosenblum are leaving the practice to pursue other professional opportunities.
To ensure a seamless transition for IHA Cardiology patients, all electronic medical records will be forwarded to Michigan Heart so care may be easily transitioned to one of the five cardiologists or another member of the Michigan Heart team. Should patients wish to seek care elsewhere, they may obtain a copy of their medical record by contacting the Michigan Heart Medical Records department at 734-712-5203.
